How are McDonald’s sausage patties made?

McDonald’s South Africa (SA) chicken sausage patties are made with a similar process to the beef (hamburger) patties. Our chicken meat is ground and blended to a specific fat content. The chicken sausage patty has water, spices and protein isolate added to it. The mixture is then formed on the same type of equipment that is used to shape the 100% pure beef patties.
