How are McDonald's French fries so perfectly cut?
Our Answer
To prepare our perfectly cut French fries, McCain (our supplier) use a grid cutter blade system — an advanced version of the cutter is used in restaurants around the world to cut potatoes into French fries. During this cutting process, potatoes are aligned lengthwise and sent through a water gun knife. This system uses high pressure water flow to launch the potatoes through a set of steel blades that can be arranged to produce different sizes and shapes of French fries.
