McDonald’s burger improvements bring a juicier, hotter, taste to South African customers.

Johannesburg; Thursday, 20 July 2023

How do you make the most loved burgers in the world hotter, juicier, and tastier?

After 28 years of spreading the joy with the most loved burgers in the country, McDonald’s South Africa has answered that question by adding a few game-changing steps to its classic burger preparation that will elevate the culinary experience of the beloved golden arches to a hotter, juicer and tastier experience.

The company is rolling out several major enhancements to the best features of its renowned burgers in South Africa. This exciting new development is followed by an earlier announcement by McDonald’s to implement recipe upgrades at its restaurants globally. It has already introduced these changes in the USA, Canada, Australia, and Belgium.

Fans of McDonald’s iconic burgers can soon expect to dig in to a juicier and fuller flavoured burger with the addition of white onions directly to the patties on the grill to intensify flavour, cheese that will be melted to the optimum stretch, more sauce, and flanked by softer buns that have been toasted to golden brown perfection.

These small but tasty improvements add up to a big difference our customers taste. Our classics at their best. These includes our iconic burgers like the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and Double Cheeseburger, which are at the heart of our business, and are what keep our customers coming back for more.

Our burgers, made using 100% pure beef patties, are prepared with salt, pepper and no artificial preservatives, flavours, colours, or fillers. As always, we source fresh, delicious, quality ingredients, because how our food is produced and where it comes from matters to us, our customers, our communities, and the environment.

With a legacy built on the strength of its burgers, it was important for the company to honour the heritage of its core burgers that have brought decades of joyous flavour experiences to families for decades.

Customers who have already tasted the difference since the changes were implemented are already “lovin’ it.” Early indicators show significant customer approval in markets where these improvements have been introduced.
